I would like to upgrade my site from example.wordpress.com to example.com
I just read about exporting content but I would like to know how to keep the followers of the WordPress.com site. Is there a way to do so? Also, I still need access to the Reader. Will my site be visible there and will I still be able to see new posts of blogs I follow via the Reader? Thanks. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Moving to a self-hosted WordPress.org site doesn’t mean you have to say goodbye to all the followers you’ve built up on your WordPress.com site. With the Jetpack plugin you can migrate your subscribers to the new site with the click of a button. Now that you’ve installed Jetpack, just follow the instructions for the subscription migration tool.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks! -

to move your website from wordpress.com to self-hosted WordPress -
Hi there,
From your details, I am assuming that you are planning to upgrade your site (example.wordpress.com to example.com) within the WordPress.com
_____________________________________________________________________________I am explaining you the details of both the scenarios and the steps involved.
Scenario 1: If you are moving your subscribers from WordPress.com site to Self-hosted WordPress.org siteIf you are planning to migrate to a self-hosted website, then you can follow the detailed tutorial mentioned here: https://move.wordpress.com/
In your new self-hosted site, Install JetPack Plugin.
In the JetPack plugin setting, connect the plugin with your WordPress.com account. (This will connect the Jetpack with the WordPress.com site from where you want to migrate the subscribers.)
Then head back to your WordPress.com account. In the site list, press om switch site. In the drop-down, you will see that your self-hosted website is also listed.
Click on the Self Hosted Jetpack plugin connected site.
After that follow the instructions mentioned at this official link: https://jetpack.com/support/subscription-migration-tool/
And you are set to migrate your subscribers from WordPress.com site to your self-hosted WordPress.org website
________________________________________________________________________Scenario 2:
The simpler way will be to upgrade you free WordPress.com plan to one of the paid plans.
From your current WordPress.com account of http://gospelisosceles.wordpress.com/ select one of the paid plans.
In every paid plan you have the option of getting a Free Custom Domain. If the domain name is available then you can directly attach it to your WordPress account and change your site from example.wordpress.com to example.com
(Official Link)If you already bought the domain name from another registrar, then you can connect that domain to WordPress.com via mapping.
Hence, in upgrading within the WordPress.com hosting, all your subscribers will be automatically integrated with your new domain name site.
____________________________________________________________All this might be sounding very tech-heavy. However, if you upgrade to one of the paid plans of WordPress.com, you get access to dedicated chat support and email support where WordPress.com support staffs will guide you step by step.
Hoping that the information helped you in moving ahead.
Regards
Deb
