Followers widget is not displaying the correct followers count.

  Some days when I log in to my Love & Feathers wordpress blog, the followers widget will display over 1,000 followers. Today it is saying my blog has 98 followers. Why is this happening? I need to be able to see that number accurately on a daily basis. How can this be fixed? Thanks.

  The widget data is cached and when Staff are working on the feature these fluctuations happen. I’ll tag this thread for a Staff response. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

  Your welcome and do be patient while waiting as Staff have a backlog of threads to respond to.

  P.S. I have blogged for many years now over 8 of them and the current fixation on numbers of followers and stats is not a virus I have contracted. lol :D Thank goodness for that or my enjoyment of blogging would have disappeared years ago. When I’m not answering questions here, I focus on publishing content, answering comments and commenting on other blogs.

  Thanks so much! I normally don’t care so much but the book associated with this blog is in the process of being shopped to editors – who are quite fixated on numbers of followers! So….I just want to be sure we (me and my parrot, Pearl) are putting our best foot forward on his behalf. ;-)
