followers/subscribers dropping away?

  My number of followers never seems to change and many people complain to me about being unsubscribed without their permission? It seems as if there is some kind of glitch. I frequently disappear from people’s readers and they have to go looking for me, only to discover they have unwillingly unfollowed my blog. Any idea what’s going on?
