Following a blog automatically subscribes to receive emails – stop?

  If I click the ‘follow’ button on a blog, it automatically signs me up to receive emails whenever they post. Is it possible to turn this off so I only receive emails when I choose to? I know this can be turned on/off for each blog under settings, but it would be great if it didn’t automatically subscribe. I’ve only noticed this happening recently.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You can control the frequency of delivery only after the fact of subscribing.

  Hi again,
  When you click to follow you are automatically following by email. That’s just the way it works. See here please http://en.support.wordpress.com/following/#how-to-follow-blogs
