Following my blog via email…

  I have had several friends and family members say that they have not received the “confirmation email” when signing up to follow my blog via email. What can I do about this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi Emily,

  Please have your followers check their settings – you wouldn’t be able to do this for them. Have them check their Blogs you Follow email notifications (if they are WordPress.com users) by going here:

  http://wordpress.com/following/edit/

  Make sure they have set their email notifications for your blog to Instant.

  In addition, have them check their Delivery Settings here to make sure they are not blocking emails from WordPress.com:

  https://wordpress.com/settings/subs-delivery/

  If they are email subscribers, have them check their settings here:

  Status

  If everything is set as it should and they are still not getting email notifications, can you please provide me the emails that are not receiving the notifications. Our system will redact them from the public view, so only I can see them.

  Hi! Thanks for your help. So far, none of your suggestions have worked. Here are a few of the email addresses of “wannabe” subscribers that haven’t had luck entering their email through the blog:

  (email visible only to moderators and staff)
  (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  Since I am only publishing weekly there may be more friends and family that have not been able to follow along that I just haven’t heard from yet…

  Please have them check their junk/spam folders. Sometimes our emails end up in there. Let me know if they can’t find it there.

  Thanks for checking, but I have already had everyone check their junk mail and their block senders lists. Are you able to just add the email addresses listed above as you initially reported you could?

  I never said that I could add emails manually. That wouldn’t be possible. I have resent the follow email confirmation. Let me know if you don’t receive it.

  The first email you provided me has a WordPress.com account, so they can follow by logging in and clicking on the Follow tab at the top when they visit your site. As for the second email, I can email that person privately.
