Following other blogs and my name
-
Hello again
As my blog is part of my Uni course we are required to follow and comment on our classmates blogs. This was fine when I used blogger but when I changed to WordPress I am not sure how to do it. Everyone else has blogger and one person has Tumblr and I saw in the forum that I am not able to follow a Tumblr blog, is that right?
Also when I posted some comments on my classmates blogger blogs I had to identify a profile username before they would accept my comment so I used eveepeevee.wordpress and the comment on the blog had the username of eveeepeevee, yet when I reply to a comment made on my WordPress blog my name of Purple Alien (which I wanted to show on my classmates blogs) shows. How come when I comment on a blog the username is different when I reply to a comment on my own blog?
Hope you can make sense of this!
Thanks
Purple Alien :)

We do not have such a thing as a wordpress.com “followers widget” . We use the “Subscribe” link on the top gray navigation bar to subscribe to other wordpress.com blogs and we read the wordpress.com blogs we subscribe to by using Readomatic on our dashboards.
The RSS Widget displays posts from any RSS feed. You might find this handy if you want to show your classmates’ blogs in your sidebar. We can subscribe to the feed of blogspot blogs, Tumblr blogs and wordpress.com blogs and/or others by entering the URL for the feed into an RSS widget and displaying it in our sidebar. > Appearance > Widgets http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/rss-widget/
