Following self hosted wordpress blogs?
-
I have recently taken over a self hosted wordpress blog http://www.photobotos.com which was using an external tool (mailchimp) to notifying followers about new posts.
I want to ditch mailchimp and use wordpress’s own e-mail notifications.
It looks like the best (maybe only) way to do this is by using jetpack.
After installing jetpack I have apparently got 12,000 followers (4,000 e-mail followers and 8,000 wordpress.com followers). Where might these have come from?
I have now added the follow widget so I understand how new people could signup to e-mails.
Is it possible to add a “wordpress.com follow” button?
Can I import my subscriber list from mailchimp into wordpress?
And finally… can I customise the e-mail template used to notify followers of new posts?
Thanks!

Hi there. This forum is only for sites that are hosted at WordPress.com. Please ask your question at the forums at wordpress.org/support for an answer.

Note that these WordPress.COM support forums are only for those with free hosted WordPress.COM blogs. I suggest looking for an answer to your question here first > http://jetpack.me/support/ If you do not find one then the Jetpack forum is at WordPress.org http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.org, click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post there.
