  Can’t change myblog from private to public.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi,
  I have followed online instructions to change my blog from private to public but it’s not working. I changed the settings on the Reader tab but blog remains private. What am I doing wrong?

  If this is the old “Why am I not on Google” question, here is the answer:

  Once you set your site to Private all search engines stop looking at it. They have in their notes “oh, don’t go there, it’s private”. So when you set it to Public again, well, they don’t know because they’re not looking at it. So it takes LONGER to get indexed by search engines after going from private to public than it does to get a brand new blog indexed. It can take weeks or months.
