  How many of you are receiving followers from Outlook.com? Then when you attempt to send them a thank you email it won’t go through. Why don’t these people have web sites or blogs? Is this unusual and how does someone with only an email address get info on our sites and blogs?

  This is a known issue and is actively being worked on. Staff are removing the followers directly from your site so you don’t have to. If you wish, until this current wave of spam followers is over, you can turn off email notifications by changing your settings here: https://wordpress.com/me/notifications Click the arrow on the right and uncheck the box next to Site follows > Email.
