  hello,
  I am using the little “text” widget on my page.
  can I do some formatting in this box?
  I need to insert a link…

  Yes you can try searching support documentation and forum threads rather than creating a thread for every question you have. lol :)

  with the first 2 questions I tried,
  but without useful findings.
  so I didnot try again for my third question.

  The easy way to do any coding you will need to display in a text widget is to create a Draft post, that you will later delet. Once you have what you want displaying in the Draft, you switch the the HTML (Text) editor and copy all the code, then you past it into the text widget and delete the Draft. :)
