  Hi,
  Can I change the font size for the name in the banner of my Expound theme blog

  Not without the Custom Design upgrade and a knowledge of CSS editing.

  Not on the header, no. If you want to hide the text on a custom header and upload an image with the text in the image, you could do that.

  Here is an image with a word in it:

  

  If you put the name in your IMAGE itself, in whatever font you want, then you can upload the image. Your blog name will still show, but you can hide it via your settings in Appearance->Custom header http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/custom-header-image/
