font changed

  I’ve just edited my page “Astrology & Me” and the font changed so that the new part looks different from the what was previously written. I’ve checked the code (knowing very little) and I can’t find anything. I’ve also tried to center certain parts and that hasn’t worked either. What am I missing? I’ve read thru the FAQ & forum posts. I’m using the Connections theme. Thanks for your help.

  ps…it’s my intention to continue to add content to existing pages over time…is this something that will keep happening????

  Are you using Word or something similar? If so, it is to blame.
  You need to clear the tags it uses.

  I’m not using Word. I wrote each section of the page directly on the wordpress editor.

  If the font has changed then somewhere a font tag has not been closed.

  you could try copying the whole text, put it into notepad or some word program, clear the editor of your saved page, then re-copy the text from notepad. it could save with the same font this time.

  hmm, sulz……okay, i’ll try that.

  mark, “font tag has not been closed”……what does that look like in the code?

  ……..gotta go to work, i’ll check back in a few hours………….

  that’s an example of a font tag. (close the spaces between < and >) if you use something like that, and do not have the last part (< /font >) then you have forgotten to close it.

  I have a similar issue. I type in arial. It is arial, while I type, or paste from word. But once published it comes in times new roman. face this problem in every post. Also , my log is poetry. The paragraphs inserted are not as much size as I desire…

  Any ideas?

  some themes override font tags, perhaps you’re using one of them.

  what sort of paragraph spacings do you want? if it’s spacing within the sentence, you could put words and then make then white in colour, if your background is white, so it will disappear and your spacing will stay intact.
