Font Changing

  • Unknown's avatar

I have spent alot of time trying to fix this. tried different fixes from this forum but still not fixing my problem. I am only new to wordpress so hopefully someone will be able to help me.

Somehow on my blog if you look at the front page it has been changed to red or bold black font. Everything should be the same as the post that is the first one. Pretty much the same as the default font, size and colour word press uses.

The funny thing is when you actually click on one of my posts it brings up the default font I am after.

Does anyone know how to fix this.

You’ve got some open tags in there somewhere in that first post. Did you copy it from the web, or are you perhaps using MS Word or something?

Hi, thanks heaps for your quick reply. I just type my post straight in to word press.

    What does open tags mean?

    Thanks again

Oops, I did copy and paste a quote off a website when the error first appeared. Which turned everything red etc.

So I think I know what has caused it now do any of you guys know how to fix this?

    Thanks heaps!

Each bit of html such as bold or whatever has an opening “tag” and an “ending” tag. As an example, the opening tag for bold is <strong> and the closing tag would be </strong> If there is no ending tag, then the bold would basically go from that point all the way to the end of the document.

Cool, so maybe I should go through the posts and the few things I have copy and pasted in – should I just delete and type in manually?

Would this be the easiest way to fix it.

    Thanks

Your red warning in your first post should look like this if you look at it in “code” view in the editor:

    `

<font color=”#ff0000″>Warning: Photos can be disturbing to some people, please view at your own risk.

When copy and pasting from the web or whereever, go to the extended tool bar and do the “paste as text” option. You can see what all the icons mean here: http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/15/what-do-all-the-icons-mean/

And I messed up on the post above with the backticks

<p><font color="#ff0000">Warning: Photos can be disturbing to some people, please view at your own risk.</font></p>
