Font color changes do not take effect

  Font color changes do not take effect when I copy and paste. When I copy and paste my blogs from an old website, then change the color to black, my blog turns out partly in the original color, partly in the standard gray of wordpress, and partly in the black that I tried to change all of it to.

  I have tried copying and pasting it onto a Word document first, but the same problems occur.

  It is my understand that I should have an option, as the owner and only administrator on my WordPress website, to instruct it to not make its own font color changes, etc. But I don’t see that option anywhere.

  Your understanding is incorrect, unless you have the custom design upgrade or make the changes by hand-coding HTML http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/font-size-color/

  Thank you. Yes, I’ve been making the changes by hand in HTML. However, even then, the changes to black font color do not always stay and I have to go back later in the day and make them again.

  Then you will have to paste a link here to a post where this is happening and also, between CODE tags, post the code you are using so we can analyze it.

  I have fixed it, so there is no link outside of my blog to send you. I’ll try to remember to send it to you the next time the wrong colors appear.
