font color on FB widget

  Hi –

  I would like to make the ’Like Us on Facebook’ text conform to the color of the other widgets. How do I do that? I prefer to ask you, rather than spending the next three hours figuring it out!

  I’m glad you asked because it’s actually not something you can change! The reason is because of how Facebook’s like widget is embedded. It uses an iframe and that means it pulls in the source code from a different domain (i.e. facebook.com instead of wordpress.com). Well, the browsers have made a rule that says you can’t edit content served from other people’s websites and display it on your own, and so the color cannot be changed.

  Maybe a different type of Facebook widget would work better? There are three types listed here:

  Or maybe moving it down to the bottom of the sidebar would look a little nicer?
