Font families
-
Hi! I’m having some problems with publicly displaying my font families that I use in my posts when writing. They don’t show. A user told me that it looks fine in one web browser but not in a different one.
I’d be grateful for any help with solving the issue. Thank you in advance!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Can you clarify where you are expecting to see these fonts. Is it a specific page or post? Only specific text on that page or all text that I see there? Thanks for the additional info!
-
I want public readers to see the same fonts as I use in my posts. I categorize all my posts and I use specific fonts for specific categories. I can see them but others can’t. People that visit my blog only see one or two different fonts. I wonder why that is and if it can be fixed?

I checked one of your posts, and see you set
josefin sansas the font for the text content. Typically that should show on all browsers as we load that font, but that can also depend on browser settings, and if they are viewing from a desktop computer or from a mobile or tablet. With mobile browsersOne of the features of our Premium Plan, is the ability to set Styles and fonts globally on your site via the Site Editor (Appearance > Editor), and that change will typically work for desktop and mobile, but in some instances, mobile browser settings can be an issue was well.

Are there no settings and is there no way at all to resolve the issue on a free account?
-
Like my colleague mentioned some of this is out of our control, and it depends on what devices and browsers are being used to view the content.
The content is the star of the show here, and I wouldn’t necessarily upgrade for 1 feature or to use specific fonts. However, the premium plan offers more than advanced customization. What other goals do you have for this project?
You’ll be able to register a custom domain, which improves your SEO, enhances your reach, and builds on to any existing branding. This plan also increases your media storage. It will allow you to remove ads from the site – OR- make money from those ads. Our private email and live chat options will be available to you for support when needed as well.

The only things I’d want to change besides all the fonts being public, are:
The structure of my posts, which currently are shown differently (photo to the left and text to the right) when viewing from a web browser like Google Chrome. As opposed to when viewing from a mobile (photo above and text below)

Hi there,
I noticed you are using the Media & Text block as a post layout tool, with a thumbnail image on one side and the full text of your blog post on the other. If you click on this block there is a setting you can un-check which will prevent the content from stacking on mobile:

Note that this will force the image to stay on the side, even on mobile. This could also mean that on some phones with really small screens the image will squeeze the text so much that it’s not easy to read. With that in mind I recommend testing things out with just one of your posts, and checking on your phone to make sure it’s still legible before taking the time to edit all your posts to be the same.

There are plugins available that will disable the ability to “right click” and download images, but to use plugins you will need our Business Plan. For sites on our free plan there is no option to disable that, but we do have a guide here that will help: https://wordpress.com/support/prevent-content-theft/
Thanks!

Thank you for the guidance but I always wish to keep the images above and the texts below. Preferably on all devices or as many as possible

The view of lists of posts, such as the posts listed on your homepage, are displaying the layout you are creating in each individual post. I.e., because you are placing an image next to the post content in the post, the list view is also picking up and showing this layout.
So you will need to edit posts like this one to put the image on top of the text, and then the view of posts on your homepage will follow suit: https://flowofain.wordpress.com/2023/05/17/planetary-attributes-and-skills-of-jormungandr-from-october-2022/

Where should I go specifically to do that editing and have my images on top with the text below?

Hi there, @oeserpentis!
If you want the image to always display above the text, I would recommend moving the text and image out of the Media and Text Block. Instead, you can add an Image Block and then Paragraph Blocks (with your text) below the Image Block. Here is how to move text out of a Media and Text Block and then how to add an Image Block above the text:

Thank you kindly for the helpful tutorial! Does this need to be done manually for each and every separate post?

Hi –
Yes, you will need to make that change to the content in any area that you wish to see it reflected.
