font in about 5 blog posts is in bold. Rest of posts in normal. recent problem

Hi WordPress:
I am hoping you can help me with a problem. My blog posts from Feb 11 to Feb 16 all appear in bold font. This is a glitch in WP I think becuase I have tried all my settings and I cannot reset everything to normal font. I also notice that if I preview these blog posts they appear fine. But then when I go back to the actual blog posts everything is in bold. Can you please help me fix this problem ? Needless to say, it just doesn’t look good and looks are important becuase I use my blog in my business. Thank you very much.

What you are describing is usually the result of copying and pasting. Please edit the posts in question, http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/ switch to the Text (HTML) editor and look for the open HTML tag and close it.
For every

HTML tag used to create bold text there must be a closing tag.

P.S. I would do this first > Go to Settings > Writing and select “ ___ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then scroll down and click “Save Changes.”
Posts > All Posts, change all your latest posts to Draft, click Update, change them back to Published, click Update again. (You can edit all 3 of them at once: tick the square in front of their titles then select Edit from the Bulk Actions dropdown and click Apply.)
Copying and pasting text from elsewhere without using either icon 5 or icon 6 in Row 2 of the visual editor is what the issue is. See: http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#pasting-text

Hey, thanks for taking the time to get back to me on this. I followed the steps you advised but unfortunately it still didn’t work.
This is definitely not a probem of copy and paste, becuase I was not editing the blog posts in question when It happened -simultaenously to about 5 posts . Some odd things are as follows:
1.) If I go to one of the blog posts in question and edit and then preview it looks fine. But when I publish it is in bold.
2.) I just tried to deleting the entire post, editing saving changes so the post is blank, then I copy in everything again and publish. Preview is find but the published post still shows up in bold.
This seems like a challenge to fix. Any more ideas what may be wrong ?

I just sent them to you. I noticed that if you click on them they all appear normal. But if you just go to my blog from the internet you will they are in bold.

HTML tags come in pairs: an opening tag that says “from here”, and a closing tag that says “up to here”.
When you make some text bold, the HTML tags are:
<strong>BOLD TEXT HERE</strong>
What you’re seeing happens when there’s an opening tag somewhere, without the corresponding closing tag: in that case the “up to here” part of the code is missing, so everything on the same page becomes bold from that point on. That’s why the posts appear ok on the single post view: there’s nothing wrong with them.
