Font problems in Quentin

Hi. Theme is Quentin. Recently switched from Appleworks word processing to Open Office. When I cut and paste a document written in Open Office to be published as a new blog entry, the blog no longer converts the text to the default Quentin font (whose appearance I like much better), but, instead, leaves the text in its original (helvetica) font (which I do not care for when shown on Quentin).

When cut and pasted, the Open Office text includes a line of code on the top of the page. I delete that code, but it makes no difference. (I am posting the blog entry in visual rather than html, as I have always done).

Changing the font before pasting will not allow the text to transform into the more attractive default Quentin font.

    Any advice would be helpful.

Pasting from Open Office to the visual editor introduces code that shouldn’t be there. Don’t paste directly to the visual editor: use the “Paste as plain text” button, or paste to the html editor, then do whatever formatting you have to do (bold etc.) using the relevant buttons.

    I appreciate that, thank you.

But could you please explain where the ‘paste as plain text’ button is?

It’s in the advanced toolbar. Look at the regular Write Post box; in the icons above the box, the one on the far right is a grid of coloured squares. Click on that and you’;ll see the advanced options, including that one.
