font size
-
From my main menu, click on IRP Study Group. This is kind of “table of contents”
The font size of the first three entries is larger than the rest. All are in the style “Heading 2”. I don’t see what’s wrong. How can I make them uniform?
Thanks,

I tried checking the CSS of the contents in the ‘IRP Study Group’ page.
As you said, all the entries are in ‘Heading 2’ format. However, except the first three entries, the others are in the ‘Arial’ font with a ‘large’ font size. You can correct this by selecting the required text and changing them to the default font, and set the size in the editor.
If that too doesn’t solve your issue, a good option would be to cut the text and paste it to a notepad file; copy it from the notepad file and paste it back to the editor (after ensuring that it is empty). Now you can uniformly-change the text to the heading 2 format by selecting the entire text. :)
Hope this helps.

Thanks Hari,
I’m afraid I don’t understand “selecting the required text and changing them to the default fond, and set the size in the editor.By the editor, do you mean the text editor?
what is the default size?
I have no idea how to do this short of trying the notepad route which would mean setting up all my links again (the links to media). So much for just testablishing a uniform font and size on this page. Isn’t there a global way to say ” please put all that follows in arial 14 or a “large size.
Can you help me a little more specifically. Sorry but I’m a newbie at this. -
I’m really sorry for confusing you. My bad. The reason why you’re facing this error is because the first three lines (Welcome Letter, Syllabus and Resources) are not in the same font format as the rest (Chronology of Proust text … till the end). The latter seems to be in the Arial Font, with size ‘large’ – and that’s the reason why it differs with the rest of the text.
I have an easy solution for you btw. Open your post editor (with the IRP Study Group Page), and first delete all the contents. Then choose the ‘Text’ editor instead of your visual editor (you can toggle to the ‘text editor’ screen by clicking the ‘Text’ button located by the side of ‘Visual’ on the top right side of your editor – I’ve highlighted it for you here.) Now, paste the following text there and try publishing your post. It should come out okay. :)
<h2>Welcome Letter: <a href="https://proustmatters.files.wordpress.com/2015/09/howtoreadproust.pdf" target="_blank">Welcome and How To Read Proust</a></h2> <h2 align="left">Syllabus and Questions: <a href="https://proustmatters.files.wordpress.com/2015/09/swsyllquestions_16sept15.pdf" target="_blank">Syllabus</a></h2> <h2>Resources (books, articles, movies): <a href="https://proustmatters.files.wordpress.com/2015/09/resources_15sept14.pdf" target="_blank">Resources</a></h2> <h2 align="left">Context: <a href="https://proustmatters.files.wordpress.com/2015/09/contextoverview.pdf" target="_blank">Context</a></h2> <h2 align="left"><span lang="en-US">Chronology of Proust’s life: <a href="https://proustmatters.files.wordpress.com/2015/09/chronologyproustlife.pdf" target="_blank">Chronology of Proust’s life</a></span></h2> <h2 align="left"><span lang="en-US">Unlocking the Proustian sentence: <a href="https://proustmatters.files.wordpress.com/2015/09/tipsforreadingproust.pdf" target="_blank">Tips For Reading Proust</a></span></h2> <h2 align="left"><span lang="en-US">Marcel’s family relationships in Combray: <a href="https://proustmatters.files.wordpress.com/2015/09/treemarcelskin_6sep15.pdf" target="_blank">Marcel’s Kin</a></span></h2> <h2 align="left"><span lang="en-US">Chronology of the novel: <a href="https://proustmatters.files.wordpress.com/2015/09/chronologyofthenovel.pdf" target="_blank">Chronology Of The Novel</a></span></h2> <h2 align="left"><span lang="en-US">Principle references to books and paintings in SW: <a href="https://proustmatters.files.wordpress.com/2015/09/basicreferences.pdf" target="_blank">Basic References</a></span></h2>I’ve made the necessary corrections using HTML. Hello,
A small heads-up as well, I forgot to include the title of your page “Proust: Swann’s Way – Fall, 2015” in the above code. Before publishing, please don’t forget to go back to the visual editor and add the same. :)

O my goodness Hari! No apologies. Your code worked beautifully. The page is saved. Thanks so much.
