Font Size and Comment link
-
Good morning. I’m guessing this will be easy for anyone familiar with CSS, but I’m not, so I thought I’d ask for help. I would like to do two things. 1, I’d like to shrink the font a bit in my posts. 2, I’d like to make my “Comment” link/option stand out more, perhaps enlarge it, bold it, and change the color. So far I’m pretty happy with everything else. Could anyone offer some suggestions? Thanks.

Before you start CSS editing please read this please. > http://csswiz.wordpress.com/2009/10/15/if-you-have-the-wp-com-css-upgrade/
Forum searching also is bound to turn up results as Twenty Ten is a common theme and others have already done what you wish to do. Here’s one https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/modifying-the-twenty-ten-theme-css?replies=7#post-502405 -
1. This is the font size for posts.
#content, #content input, #content textarea { font-size: 16px; }2, Luckily with Twenty Ten the comments link has its own selector (although it isn’t actually in the CSS originally) so you can style it. Not all themes (few actually) allow this level of styling. I included color, font size and font weight declarations which you can use singly or in combination as you see fit. To not use any of them just delete that line.
.comments-link a { color: #CC0000; font-size: 120%; font-weight: bold; } -

Thesacredpath, thanks, that worked brilliantly! I have never done any coding in my life, but how can people leave comments if they don’t see the link? Thanks again

You are welcome, and you are right, the comments links should be more prominent for those that are not familiar with how blogs work.
