Font size and image placement problems

    Hi everyone,

    I’m having two (possibly related) problems with font sizes and image placement, and was wondering if they were general issues. Briefly:

    1) When I paste text from Word, it’s getting resized small. This has never happened before, and while it’s not the end of the world, it seems like the only way to resize it is manually in the HTML. Ugh!

    2) My blogs are usually about 1,000 words of text in 8-10 paras interspersed with/ separated by 6-7 images. Just today, when I go to ‘publish’, all the text becomes a single undelimited block, and all the images appear at the bottom of the text, one after the other.

    Has anyone encountered these problems, or has any suggestions for why they’re suddenly occurring?

    Hi Richard,
    I’m new to blogging. I was having similar frustrations going from word to wordpress. I was told to copy and paste the content to Notepad first. This rips out all the hidden html crap that screws up your copy in your post.
    So that problem is solved yay!
    But I feel your pain about the image thing. I’m struggling to put my images where I want them in the text. Once I save they jink all over the place.
    My best sort of solution is to put numbers in front of each section of text, ie the top ten ways to eat a bear. Once I number the text segments, I then drag the pictures where I want them.
    Then I got to the tool bar and click on the box with the 123 and a bunch of lines in it. The first time I click it I get tons of numbers, the second time it behaves better.
    It strips the frames that keep my captions small and the image is just there and my caption is the same font size as the rest of the copy.
    I’m here in the help section trying to sort out how to make my caption copy a smaller font size. I’d love advice on that.

    Nobody is going to email you except spammers. NEVER put your email in a forum like that.

    You can’t make your captions smaller text unless you have the CSS upgrade, I believe.
