Font size change in Headlines in Modern News

    On my home page, the headlines appear in different sizes. I’d like them all to be the same size as they appear in the Featured News section.

    Can you help?

  • Hi.

    If I understand you want your ‘Opening Shots’ column to have the same size titles/headlines (now: 15px) as those in ‘Featured headline’ column (Now 19px). If I am right, you can do it by using custom CSS, adding this piece of code:

    .wf-active .home-middle-right .featuredpost h2, .wf-active .home-middle-right h2 a, .wf-active .sidebar .featuredpost h2, .wf-active .sidebar .featuredpost h2 a {
        font-family: abril-text-1,abril-text-2,"Droid Sans",sans-serif;
        font-style: normal;
        font-weight: 700;
        font-variant: normal;
        font-size: 19px;
    }

    I hope this helps you.

  • Or, in fact, just the font-size declaration:

    .wf-active .home-middle-right .featuredpost h2, .wf-active .home-middle-right h2 a, .wf-active .sidebar .featuredpost h2, .wf-active .sidebar .featuredpost h2 a {
        font-size: 19px;
    }

    Thank you. That worked.

    I had trouble replacing your first piece of code with the second. Can that only be done in the CSS Stylesheet editor? I seem to have done it, but inelegantly — it shows up more than once on the Customize screen.

    Can you please now change the font in my sidebar on the right to be the same size as the other text?

  • Hi.
    Just to be sure to have understood, can you extract two pieces of text you want to have the same size?

    I had a live chat on another issue with someone this afternoon and when she asked me if I had any other issues I told her about the headline issue, above, which she solved.

    Sorry, I meant to tell you (I actually thought I did but evidently not).

  • No problem!

    Have nice blogging!
