font size change not holding

I’m using headings to define different font sizes on my launch page, but I can’t get h1 to display as large text. (The problem is with the 4th line of text, which reads “The Summer King & Friends”.)
Sometimes it’ll display properly in the visual editor, but when I save it and check the actual page it has reverted to small text, even though the html coding doesn’t appear to have changed.
Any ideas where I’ve gone wrong? Or suggestions for solutions?

H1 typically will not work in the body of pages or posts and typically only works as the main blog title. H2 might work in the body of a post or page, and h3 and h4 even more likely.

Try this for a single line (or even two):
<span><span style="font-size:1.6em;">TEXT_HERE</span>
You can adjust the 1.6 number to different sizes.If you make the text much larger or smaller, then you should also adjust lineheight.

As a matter of curiosity, what does the 1.6 refer to? 1.6 times the default height?
And is there a list of the heading sizes somewhere that has that sort of info? (e.g. H1= 1.6, H2= 1.4, etc.) -

“1em is equal to the current font size. 2em means 2 times the size of the current font. E.g., if an element is displayed with a font of 12 pt, then ‘2em’ is 24 pt. The ’em’ is a very useful unit in CSS, since it can adapt automatically to the font that the reader uses”
