Font Size change within the Blog

Thanks sacredpath, re- zoom level you must be right because when I use internet explorer the whole thing looks exactly like it’s meant to look, then back onto google chrome and its shrunk again. Also, on the google chrome (dont really know what version to be honest), though the posts, sidebar etc are smaller, the background is still there across the whole screen; likewise the dashboard background. So its a mystery, but learning a lot through this so they do say every cloud has a silver lining! Thanks again, Roberta.

Thank you for your advice sacredpath. Hm seems I will have to forget about WordPress for my site/blog. I’ve wanted a site plus blog for some time and just don’t seem to be able to combine both which so many take for normal. Thanks anyway. I would’ve spent a lot of time going nowhere. Deebs

This can be done Denise, it is just that it is somewhat more involved. It isn’t that difficult, but it will take some work on the front end to get things set up so that you don’t have issues down the road.

It might be that you will have to hire someone to get the basics done for you and then you can pick up and work on the other things as you gain experience.

Even if you step away from wordpress, custom fonts on a standard website will still require jumping through some hoops as the bulk of the process would be the same as it would be for wordpress, and in actuality, it would be a little more difficult.

I see. Can I ask you this…which would solve all problems. I can make a lovely website visually in iWeb – everything I want, typefaces to die for, except a working blog. For the past year I have been trying to solve this… If I have my blog on the WordPress site and can link over to the blog fairly easily but there’s no way for the reader to come back – is there? A writer friends husband has done this (tricked the eye with the colours) but I can’t seem to. The best I could do was make my website trick the eye with colours and have my blog come in on a RSS feed. I have paid two guys (one recommended) in the past and they have disappeared with some dosh. What do you think?

Having a blog from here visually tie into a website just depends on CSS skills and what theme you choose. You would want one that is structurally similar to the website to begin with since moving large parts of things around in a wordpress site is many times easier if you can edit or change the theme files, and we can’t do that here at wordpress.com.

Can you give me a link to your iWeb site so that I can take a look at it?

OK. My site is http://www.iconproductions.net. It’s many things at the moment and so am trying to split out the different aspects. You can see I’m pulling in my blog there. At least, I hope it comes in.

Thank you for taking the time to review it. Deebs
