Font size changes between articles
-
It’s probably easier for you to see the problem than for me to describe it. My site: Eclectic Orthodoxy.
You will notice that the first three articles are displayed with the same font size. But suddenly, the font size of the fourth article decreases. And then when one scrolls down to the fifth and all subsequent articles, the font size is restored.
I’ve tried this with both Chrome and Safari, so I guess it’s not a browser problem.
I tried to re-copy the fourth article and update, but the problem remains. Any suggestions? I have never tried to mess around with font sizes in any of my articles. I wouldn’t even know how to try that.

Please always post an active link starting with http:// for the post or page with the issue in it when posting to these forums so we don’t have to waste your time or ours looking for it.

I don’t see any font change here http://afkimel.wordpress.com/2013/03/01/the-fifth-theological-oration-the-progressive-revelation-of-the-spirit/
I am using Firefox 19.I’ve tried this with both Chrome and Safari, so I guess it’s not a browser problem.
Why do you assume that?
If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.
Note: If you are using an IE9 browser in compatibility mode that makes it render as IE7 and IE7 is not supported. To disable see > http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html
If you are, please do these four things:
1. Try clearing your browser’s cache http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/
3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
If you are not successful let us know exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using and post any error reports you get.

Both my Google Chrome (25.0.1364.152 ) and Safari (6.0.2) browsers are up to date. I just checked the site with Firefox 19 and I have the same problem. When I scroll down to the article titled “The Progressive Revelation of the Spirit,” there is a definite change in font. Everything returns to normal for subsequent articles.
I have cleared the browser caches. No help.
Third party cookies are enabled.
I have disabled extensions. No help.
I enabled HTTPS. No help.

One other thing. The font change does not occur when one goes to the individual article. It only occurs when one visits the top age of the blog and then scrolls down to the article mentioned.
-
The only changes I see are some portions which are in italics as quotes are supposed to be.

I’ve been tinkering at this for about 15 minutes now, still no solution in sight, you have found quite a “fun” problem!
I’ll let you know when I’ve figured this out.

Ok, I figured it out, sorry! Had to take a step back and stop looking for complex solutions. :)
You published the post as an Aside post type. Just edit the post, switch it to a Standard post type, and it should look like all the others.
-
Haha! Glad to present you a fun problem. Enjoy. I’m also relieved that I’m not the only one seeing the problem. For a moment I thought my old timer’s disease was affecting my eyesight. :)
-
Voila!
Thank you. I have no idea what an “aside” post is or how I accidentally clicked on it.
-
You’re welcome!
Asides are designed for smaller more insignificant posts, like “I ate a sandwich, it was good.” should definitely be an Aside, not a blog post. :)
