Font size help
-
I am new here and I’m sorry to admit that trying to understand some of this stuff is really making my head hurt. I’ve been trying to figure out how and where to change the size of my font. Nothing else, just the size.
Do I do it in the Edit CSS section, where? Or do I have to do it individually for each separate post? If I just want it say twice the size this font is that I’m writing in now, what would I put? This is the line of font I’m trying to enlarge. Where would I put what I’m supposed to put here and what would that be?
my blog is http://aboutyouphoto.wordpress.com. Truly, I don’t think I’m as stupid as I feel right now. Maybe. I do appreciate any help that someone could give me in the best DUMMY terms possible.
Thank you

If you mean the font in the body of the post, increase the size here:
body { font-size: 62.5%; /* Resets 1em to 10px */ font-family: Verdana, Arial, Sans-Serif; background-color: #333; color: #B0B0B0; text-align: center; }In other words, the font is set to 62.5%. Make that number larger.
-
Actually, that will affect the whole blog, including the sidebar. So don’t change that one.
-
Try this:
.entry { font-size: 1.25em; }And change the 1.25 to whatever number you want.

Hi Vivian!
I have the same problem as Michelle.
Thanks for your help. But,please, tell me where do I put this:.entry {
font-size: 1.25em;
}Do I have to paste it the CSS Stylesheet Editor?
Thanks!!

Without a link to your blog, I can’t begin to help. Every CSS is different and that may or may not work on your blog. Please consider linking your user name to your blog as instructed here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-to-make-your-name-link-to-your-blog?replies=54

I´m sorry!
Now I´m ready.
My blog (http://allagiopeninnovation.wordpress.com/) is linked to my user name. -
Veronica – it doesn’t look like you have the paid CSS upgrade. If you had it, yes, that is the place where you would put it.
There is no official support for CSS and only a few in the forums are well versed in it.
If all you want to change is the font, perhaps you should consider using Windows Live Writer, which is an off-line blog editor. It allows you to adjust the fonts and then upload the posts to your blog. (Also, it looks like you are pasting from Microsoft Word. That’s not a good idea.)

Thanks Vivian!
No, I haven´t paid the upgrade… I´ll follow your suggestion about Windows Live Writer. -
thank you vivian for suggesting windows live writer
it was very easy to change my font size in windows
however, when I copy/paste into wordpress, I’ve run into some
line spacing problemsI’ll keep on plugging away, probably I’ll figure things out

I have some strange and really annoying problem with font. I clicked on in html editor of post, and now some of my entries are in thick font and some are normal (I want every post be in normal but I can’t restore it back like it was before), also list below my avatar supposed to be in one line but now (becuse of thick font) – “recka | Metal Gear Solid 4 | PS3” is in two lines. Could someone help me with this?

@phsx – we cannot begin to help you without a link to your blog.
People – please link your blogs to your user names. It makes it so much easier on volunteers in the forums.
Go into your dashboard -> users -> your profile -> then scroll down to ‘contact info’. In the spot where it says ‘website’ fill in the address of your blog and save the changes.

Ok, done.
I want to say one more thing – I edited post 20 times, unchecked some options and nothing, strange is – that in preview post everything is like it should be – zero thick fonts. -
Let me guess – you are pasting from Word. Take a look at this FAQ http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/11/09/why-not-to-use-word/
The post above it has an open strong tag in it. Open the post and use the eraser icon to remove the formatting. Then save it.

I’ve tried this many times, and remove formatting is NOT WORKING I mean – it’s not helping me.
