font size in pages
-
how comes my ‘pages’ fonts are in bold and my ‘catagories’ font seems to be normal. and more importantly how do i change the font in my pages menu to read normally?
-
-
but in the ‘write page’ box there’s no option to change the font size, so how do i cahnge it?
-
Did you locate the spot where the missing html tag ought to be inserted?
The font sizes are hard-coded into the themes. Here’s the work around you can use to change them http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/06/12/can-i-change-my-font-font-size/
-
so in other words i’ve got no real control over the ‘page’ font size because it inbedded in the template?
-
(1) Fonts are hard-coded.
(2) None of the themes have been coded to have “bold” fonts on pages. If this is happening then you have left off an html tag in a page.
(3) Although fonts are hard-coded you can change fonts on any individual post or page.
(4) I provided instructions for changing fonts above (see the link above).
(5) You can purchase an upgrade and customize your css but not edit your theme’s php.
(6) WordPress.com is a multi-user blogging platform. If one person were allowed to edit a theme then all the other users of that theme would find it changed too.
(7) For full template control you can download a free theme from http://wordpress.org and import your existing wordpress.com blog content into it.

It works for the post, but not for the title.
i’ve had a look at the picture of the template in the ‘presentation’ page. it does infact look like the ‘page’ menu is bold

Gosh I wish you would have said “title” in your first post. If you had I wouldn’t have had to do so much typing.
You cannot change the font on the title in any theme without purchasing a css customization upgrade.
Also provided your wordpress.com blog is not “mature” and not-safe-for-work” it would be helpful for those trying to help you if you edited your forum profile and linked your username to it. :)
Sapphire theme – test blog results for font on pages – standard results – title is bold lettered but body text is not.

SORRY to take your time up , but i’m totally lost with your last request about forum profile.
come again, please i’m not that ‘up’ on wordpress, as you could porbably tell -
You could simply type the url to your wordpress.com blog here, unless it has not-safe-for work. Then I could “see” what you are talking about.

Actually there’s no missing strong tag. That’s just how the theme designer designed the theme. You can put in font tags into any input that you want. That includes widgets and widget titles. Do note though that some themes will override those settings with their own CSS though.
It’s moot though as I see the links you’ve got hidden to tradedoubler.

Nah, I’m just familiar with the company. They use to do one of those download help programs that installs spyware on your computer.

look, i just wanna thank you very much for your help. i’m trying to educate myself, but one step at a time.
thanks again

Some education advice – you could delete the hidden links before you lose your blog (splog).
