font size of links in twenty twelve link post format

Dear WP,
The font size of links in Twenty Twelve’s link post format is 13pt while surrounding text is only 10pt. Font size of links matches surrounding text in other post formats. Is this a design glitch or deliberate? Either way, please rectify as I find it plain irritating.

That is deliberate.
Post formats are designed to highlight particular type of content like links, images, video, audio etc. So links are formatted to show in bigger text in Twenty Twelve.
If you want a smaller sized link text, you can post in standard format with just the link. Just in case you need, here is how to create links https://en.support.wordpress.com/links/
If you wish to retain the link post format and yet want a smaller link text, then custom CSS is the way to go, but that required Premium upgrade.
