Font size of Portfolio Project and Blog Post Titles

    Hello!

    I’m in the process of editing my site after changing theme, and while I’ve found out how to reduce the font size of page titles to 40px by CSS customization, it doesn’t have any effect on portfolio project and blog post titles. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Many thanks!

  • Hi, have you checked Customize > Fonts to see what font size you’ve specified there? It’s possible that’s overriding your adjustments. So I’d start with normal there then adjust as needed.

    And here’s how to find the correct CSS to change:

    Hello Yasmine!

    I second @supernovia’s recommendation that you should set your font size through the customizer if that is an option.

    If you have to use CSS, I had success with this:

    /* sizing page title, blog page title, portfolio page titles and bottom margin */
    .wf-active .page .entry-title, h1.entry-title a, .wf-active .entry-title {
     	  font-size: 40px;
     	  margin-bottom: 0;  /* default 1.125em */
    }

    This code also sets the font-size for the page titles. It can and should replace the code you added before to reduce the page titles to 40px. Since you want the same setting for all of these titles, this approach allows you to adjust everything by changing one value.

    I also added CSS for margin-bottom to expose another related control that can help you adjust the appearance of your titles. You may adjust the value to suit your eye or remove that line to continue using the default.

    If you try this, please let us know if it works for you.

    @supernovia @slantedplanet Thank you both! Have tried your suggestions and found them real handy. :)
