Font Size Problem
-
When I started posting to my blog, I initially used html to determine the font size.
I’ve decided that the font size I used is too small, but nothing I do, including removing all html font tags, changes the size of the font.
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)note: the font size on the “about” page shows a different size from the rest of the blog … looking specifically at the left side menu, the font size difference is quite apparent. It would be great if the size of the font on that menu on the blog was the same size (larger) … I had no idea I could change the font size of that menu … ??

here’s is the FAQs entry with regard to font changes http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/06/12/can-i-change-my-font-font-size/

hey timethief – thanks for the link.
I entered the span code from that page (typing exactly as it is written there, word for word) into the post editor.
Clicking the “preview” button, the page shows no difference in appearance.
Clicking the “update post” button changes the entire line of code to <span> …???
This happens each time I attempt to enter a line of code for the span tag. -
Also note that there are some font some change tips in this thread that you may find useful https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/fonts-and-sizes?replies=4

lol :) Good question rosclarke because these changes must all be made in the html editor.

Have you tried ScribeFire? It is a firefox download. One is able to change size and font style.
-
I’m working in the html … I’m a programmer.
Is ScribeFire an application that works here on wordpress?
There are many code restrictions here … does this application overcome/override these restrictions?
In what way does it work better than coding directly into the editor here? -
It does work with wordpress.com
I don’t know if it overrides WP.
I am not sure in what ways it is better.

I think the application you are referring to might be a good tool for people who don’t know how or don’t want to, code for themselves … but thanks for the suggestion ;)

@spiderphly: ??? Just checked your front page and your About page (in both Firefox and Safari). All texts (except the section in bold in your latest post) are the same size, identical to that of the sidebar links.

i have tried to put <span style=”font-size:x-small;”>ABCD</span> into the html editor. but once i click upload page, the <span style=”font-size:x-small;”></span> changed to <span></span>.
May i know wat shall i do? sorry if this is a repeated question, but i already tried the suggestions given in the forum, still not working :(

<span style=”font-size:small;”>ABCD</span> works. Percentage, em and px sizes work fine also. It looks like ‘x-small’ is considered invalid and stripped out (though that may be a bug).
