Font size using 'paragraph'

  I haven’t been using my blog… one of the reasons was that I couldn’t seem to ever change the font size and the text always seemed so small. I’m possibly considering reactivating it, and looked online for some insight on this. I saw about the “paragraph” pull down which I hadn’t really used before. The first time I came back to try it out, I couldn’t get it to work. I just now tried, and it SEEMED to work. I say seemed because once I changed one paragraph I couldn’t change it to another choice. When I hit undo, the thing stopped working entirely.

  Am I able to use this? If so, what was I doing wrong? I tried it with text selected and also without.
