Font size/color in sidebars – changeable? Fjords04 Theme

    Hi –
    I am using the Fjords04 Theme by Peterandrej . Is there any way that I can change the font (size/color) used by the Sidebars? Do I have to edit the CSS? If so, any coding tips to change the font? I have 800 subscribers beating down my door that they love the format but can’t read three of the columns because they’re too light in color. I haven’t used CSS yet and am hoping for a quick fix and then I can sit down and learn CSS…

    If you post a link to the blog in question I will take a look, the one linked by your username is set to a different theme. To edit the sidebar appearance you’d definitely need to buy the CSS upgrade.

    Thanks. I figure I’ll need to buy the upgrade but wanted to find out if it’s possible with this theme first…

    Try out these few lines of code. They set the colours for the regular links, hovered links and sidebar titles in that order. The last line increases you font size a little to make it easier to read too. You can change the hex codes to whatever you want them to be.

    a {color:#333;}
a:hover {color:#000;}
.sidebar h2 {color:#666;}
#wrapper {font-size:1.09em;}

    Yes, it’s definitely possible if you know CSS and buy the upgrade. The thing is, use the free Preview to test and see if your CSS skills are up to par, because if they’re not, you’re pretty much on your own with the upgrade. There’s no staff help on it and very few volunteers who know their way around it.

    I used to be a programmer but am 10 years out of date. Could probably muddle through it but don’t exactly have the time right now. Looks fun though.

    So, nothing I was doing in the CSS Editor was having any effect in the Preview including your code above. I have spent a few hours on this so decided that the Preview must not be working if I don’t have the Upgrade. Bought the Upgrade. Preview still showed nothing so validated my changes at W3C and saved the style sheet. Changes then appeared! Thank you!!
    Curious that Preview wouldn’t work for me….

    I’ve seen people reporting similar issues with the CSS preview function for a while. Not that it matters to you now but force refreshing the page might help.
