Font Sizes
-
I can’t change single lines of font sizes when writing a blog post.
In Visual Editor when I select ‘Heading 1’ or ‘Heading 2’ it changes the entire entry, but I only need to change that one line. I have to double space to make that happen without changing everything else. But then the spacing is wrong because it doesn’t need to be double spaced. Please help. And is there any way to change font by font size (11, 12, 14, etc) instead of the preselected ‘Heading 1’ ‘Heading 2’, etc.?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can install the TinyMCE Advanced plugin to your website.
Plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/tinymce-advanced/
It will allow you to add Font Size to your editor.
Your website is hosted through DreamHost, so be sure they allow you to upload your own plugins. DreamHost Support: https://discussion.dreamhost.com/

Hello @nohopug66,
To add to what @jennwenger said, the changes you’re talking about are also possible within the Custom CSS options for WordPress.com sites – available to Premium and Business plan subscribers.
However, as she said, the site you have linked above (bradyharris.dreamhosters.com) is not a WordPress.com site but is hosted by Dreamhost. You are likely running self-hosted WordPress.org on Dreamhost – here’s more about the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org.
If you do in fact need help on a different site, and that site is a WordPress.com site, you can follow up here with further questions.
Good luck with your site!

Thanks, @jennwenger. I’ll see if that works.
Thanks, @uxcitizen. I didn’t see any Dreamhost info on the link. It was just between WP.com vs WP.org. Am I missing something?
And I’m on Dreamhost only till I get the site presentable, then will go full WordPress. Since I am using a domain I own, which is currrently being forwarded to a different site, I couldn’t build my new, in production site, on WordPress, as it kept going to the forwarded domain address. I was told I can build on Dreamhosters, then switch when ready. So far I am able to build and pages load correctly. Though, I obviously barely know what I am doing. thanks for any help.

Hi @nohopug66,
Yes, in the case of the link I provided, the WP.org information would be describe using a WordPress site hosted by Dreamhost.
About the particular situation you describe, you’d probably need to confirm with Dreamhost at the link @jennwenger provided above, but here’s what I found in their support docs that might be relevant: https://help.dreamhost.com/hc/en-us/articles/214695758-Viewing-your-site-with-a-dreamhosters-com-subdomain-before-changing-DNS

Thanks, @uxcitizen.
So, WP.org is Dreamhost.
And I’m reading the other link now.
Didn’t realize there’s a difference between dreamhost and dreamhosters, so trying to grasp that now. I’m not even sure which one I’m on.
Thanks for all your help. -
@jennwenger Thanks! the TinyMCE seems to be working.
Thank you both for your thoughtful responses. @uxcitizen -
@nohopug66 When you do transfer yourself over here to WordPress.com, be aware that you will need a business plan in order to have the CSS customization and/or plugins.
Information on the WordPress.com plans is here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/
