  • Hi there – When I load your site http://tangleresearch.com/ on my iPad mini, the font is the same size as when I load it on my computer. Do you have your iPad zoomed in at all?

Hi! Sorry for the delay coming back to you.

I have designed the images and text in my blog so that they will be more or less squared (in every page the text occupies the same area as the picture besides it, more or less). That works pretty well with all desktop browsers, but when I go to iPad the text occupies a much larger area than the picture besides it. Indeed the text is really large…

I do not have the iPad zoomed, I have double checked just in case. Indeed the font I choose in the settings is the tiniest.

I does happen with both Safary and Chrome navigators on iPad.

Thanks a lot for your follow up… Hopefully we can find a solution?

  • Hi there – Could you make a screenshot of how your site looks on your iPad? Here’s how to make a screenshot on your iPad:

You can upload it to your blog’s Media Library and I can look at it there.

Hi! Sure it is already done. I have added 3 screen shots of my iPad and 1 of my desktop browser, so that you can see the difference… thanks!

  • Hi there – Thanks! That doesn’t look to me like a larger font size. Rather, because the iPad is a narrower screen, the text wraps sooner for shorter lines. This is intentional – the display will adapt to appear the most clearly on any given screen size.

Clear; I actually thought it might be intentional. The question would be whether there is the possibility to make the font look smaller (or the whole lay out) on the iPad, as If I leave it as it iis it is too large and people have to scroll too much to read anything!

That actually does not happen to all websites: I I look into elpais.com for example it looks pretty much the same in my desktop screen as it does in my ipad, and the same thing happens to most good websites…

Any way to make it look more compressed?

    thanks!!!!

  • Hi there – Since you have the Custom Design upgrade, you should ask experts in the CSS forum if there’s a way to target the mobile font size using CSS:
