  I would like to know if I can add a font type that is not available in the font category with the theme, I’m working on the free templates, is that possible?

  The only way to add custom fonts to a WordPress.com site is to use a plugin, third-party theme, or some custom code. Those options are only available on our Business and eCommerce plans. If you’re interested, you can quickly upgrade below.
