Fonts and mirroring

Hi everyone,
I did some searching and couldn’t figure these two things out. My search fu may be bad, but I think my first thing is just a goofy use case issue.
I’m supporting my SO’s blog, which is at http://www.bravenewkitty.com
She recently upgraded Firefox, which she uses to make her posts. After doing so, the fonts are all screwed up on her posts. If you look at some archived posts from a couple months ago, you will see what she wants. Then if you look at recent posts, you’ll see what’s wrong.
She writes in MS Word, then pastes into WordPress and edits the post. One other thread I saw suggested this could be the whole problem. How can we fix the screwy posts so they format correctly and keep this from happening on future posts? What is going on, anyway?
Secondly, she would like to have this blog, currently hosted on my server, mirrored to a wordpress.com blog. Is this possible? How do I migrate the data?

Sorry, you are in the wrong forum and need to head over to http://wordpress.ORG/support/ as that is where self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG are supported.
These forums are for those hosted here on the wordpress.COM free hosting service and things here work differently and our answers typically will not work for you.

Can you tell me if it is possible to mirror a self-hosted blog onto the the hosted environment?

It is a really bad idea to duplicate content. Search engines immediately become suspicious and downgrade both blogs thinking it is a splogging attempt, or an attempt to game the search engines.
One of the blogs would have to be set so that search engines could not find it. Here, you could set the blog to private.
