Fonts and Monetize

    My Idea suggestions are these:

    1. Make it so that you can easily change and enlarge the font size. Yes I know you can edit the html in each and every post each and every time, but nobody wants to do that. Many of the themes available are nice themes but the font is not comfortably readable. Which makes the theme virtually useless.

    2. Make it so that people can monetize their blog if they wish.

    These are really the only two perks that Blogger has on WordPress. WordPress is better than Blogger in all other aspects (in my opinion).

    3. I would be willing to pay for some of these features if you could add them in a way that was affordable – and did not require me knowing anything about CSS. But I would be willing to pay for the ability to have say an “enhanced” dashboard. Or enhanced options. Just a thought.
    That way more people could do what they want with their blogs, without having the technical knowledge to pull off self hosting or CSS.

    I LOVE wordpress! But it could be so much better with those few changes.

    @Hanni
    My position is in opposition to what is proposed above.

    Fonts and background colors
    I for one am not willing to pay for the ability to click buttons on a full featured TinyMCE editor and change font styles and colors or background colors. These features are available in free open source software from Moxi and I’d like to see the editor upgraded to provide the full features of the TinyMCE editor to wordpress bloggers. See > http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/examples/full.php

    Monetizing wordpress.com blogs
    I support the criteria for the existing AdControl program. As far as monetizing blogs that do not have the high volume of traffic and the type of content required for acceptance into the AdControl program, I don’t support that idea at all.

    The reason why is clear. Blogger (blogspot) is the preferred home of many sploggers, spammers, plagiarists and click fraud groups, who are motivated strictly by money made from ad clickers on stables of free blogs. I don’t want to see an invasion of those types into the wordpress.com. community. See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/advertising/
