fonts and sizes

(1) Is there any way to change the font on my posts?
(2) When I highlight specific words and chose for example Heading 2 under the dropdown menu, it still changes the entire text to Heading 2 size. How do I get specific words to be larger than others?

1) Yes, search the FAQ for Font and you’ll find the thread on how to do that.
2) preformatted things like Heading 2 cannot be altered. You’d be able to do it using the HTML editor, not the Heading style. -
Adding a simple span tag is probably the easiest way to change your font style and size within a paragraph eg;
<span style="font-family:Times New Roman;font-size:12px;">Text appears in Times New Roman font at 12px high</span>or
<span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:10px;">Text appears in Arial font at 10px high</span>Using these tags you can change your font style and size as many times as you want during a paragraph.
Try to stick to fairly common fonts as the font style will only work if your viewer has that font installed on their PC.

One more tip, while we’re at it. You may be using a theme that automatically puts blockquotes in italics. To avoid that, try this:
<blockquote><span style="font-style:normal;">YOUR TEXT HERE</span></blockquote>lockquoted text will then appear in the same font family and size as the rest of your post, but it turns off the automatic italics.
