Fonts have changed

There is nothing on your site that would prevent that bar from displaying, and it’s working for me across browsers. If you don’t see it, it means your browser isn’t loading it. Can you try over a different internet connection, and in a different browser and check if it appears in either?
@windwhistle
When a page loads we initially load the default font for people with slow connections, as custom CSS and fonts are loaded last when a site loads meaning those people would see no text at all until the site finishes loading.On a fast connection it should be barely noticeable, but on a slower connection it can sometimes cause the custom font not to load at all if the connection times out before the load finishes. Reloading helps, as then part of the page’s content is already cached in your browser, so it doesn’t have to fetch that info again.

I’ll have to start watching what time of day it happens and check my download speed when it happens. I’ve long suspected my download speed gets jammed up between 5 and 7 pm, when people are getting home from work and logging on.

I am sorry but nothing that major has changed on my PC or my setup. All I want now is to be able to click on my blog icon and have my “HOME PAGE” come up with the site, reader. etc. appear at the top. It will not.
I tried other browsers….same thing. It will not “stay”….once I click out of the site and click back it’s just the basic first page. NO editing bar above.
I am willing to give up on the non working fonts in CSS if you will get me back to where I was.

I realise this is frustrating, but there really is nothing on our side or on your site that would cause the bar at the top to disappear.
Can you please try the browser troubleshooting steps that appear at this page:
Along with that, please check if it makes any difference if you use a different browser. Also see if it helps if you make a different connection.
If you have Custom Design on a site, this CSS should prevent the default font from loading:
.wf-loading body { visibility: hidden }@disc440, you can also try adding that. It might help for the font issue on your site also.
