Fonts look terrible in Chrome.
-
I know there are some other threads that discuss this. Le Monde Journal and Le Mond Sans, for instance, look totally fine on every major browser EXCEPT Chrome (on Windows). Other fonts also look very different. Is this something that can or will be resolved, or something we just have to live with it. Please let me know. Thanks!

This is something that was reported some time ago and Google is reportedly working on a fix. It is an issue with the Chrome browser on Windows (Bug Report). From the looks of the thread, a fix might be very close at hand. In the meantime, there are are two possible solutions I’ve found, after doing some searching. The first is to use a text smoothing declaration for the text elements with the jaggies:
-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased !important; This second solution is to use a very small text stroke with an RGBa color declaration:
-webkit-text-stroke: 1px rgba(0,0,0,0.1); -
Thanks for the reply. For now, I’ll just choose a different font that looks decent in all browsers.
