Fonts won't stay changed

    Hi — I’ve changed my fonts in both the headings and the base font and they won’t stay changed. Sometimes they’re they way I changed them, other times not. This is really frustrating. I’ve checked different browsers and different computers so the problem isn’t just on my computer. I’ve cleared my cache. I have purchased the premium plan so I have access to these fonts. The ones I want are Fertigo Pro for the Headings and Libre Baskerville for the base font. Can you help stabilize this? Like I said, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t, so it may or may not when you check it.

    Also, sometimes when it is Fertigo Pro, it goes to italic, which is not what I want and not what is indicated on the customize menu.

    I hope someone will help me with this, or at least let me know if you won’t.

    Hi @belindao919, sorry about the problem with the fonts. Is it changing back to defaults at Appearance > Customize > Fonts, or is that staying correct, but the site itself isn’t displaying the correct fonts?

    If it is staying correct in the Customizer, but not on the site itself, it may be that there is a temporary issue at Typekit. Also sometimes if you are on a slower internet connection, the loading of the fonts can timeout if the internet is very busy.

    I’ve checked your site in Firefox, Safari and Chrome and went to a lot of different pages in each and refreshed and clicked around, and about the only thing I saw was a couple times where the font showed in italic for a very brief flash (a second or less) and then the correct font showed. Since the default title fonts were in italic, we can try adding the following custom CSS to keep that from happening on the post/page titles. I can’t make any promises on how well this will work, but let’s give it a try.

    .entry-title {
    font-style: normal;
    }

    Add the above right at the top of your custom CSS so that it is the very first thing to load.

    Thanks for your help. I’ll try adding that to my custom CSS and see what happens.

    Yes, it’s correct in the Customizer.
    Here’s what been happening: for a long time, well, basically since I switched to this theme, when I first opened the site, what assume are the default fonts for the theme would show, then it would switch. No problem. Then it started NOT switching. Then all of a sudden, it would switch, but to the italic version of what I have for the Headings.

    Now today it’s been fine on my desktop but on my cell phone it goes to the italic.

    I’ll let you know what happens. Even if it works I’ll give it a couple of days to make sure it “sticks.”

    Thank you!

    @belindao919, no worries on the time. Try it out and make sure things are working and then let us know.

    It’s been a few days and it seems to be working. I’ll let you know if I have problems in the future. Thank you!
