Food Menus Section Not Installing?

    I’ve been using this theme on this site for quite some time now and decided to try to install the same Canape theme on a new site of mine. I didn’t receive any errors during install and have completely wiped and reinstalled it multiple times now, but no matter what I do, the “Food Menus” section isn’t showing up on the new site.     I even tried exporting the entire old site and importing it on the new site to see if that would work, but I get these errors:

    Failed to import nova_menu Pokemon Greatball Grinder
    Failed to import nova_menu_item_label Pokemon Pokeball Grinder
    Failed to import nova_menu Pokemon Ultraball Grinder
    Failed to import nova_menu Standard Pokeball Grinder
    Failed to import “Standard Pokemon Pokeball Grinder”: Invalid post type nova_menu_item
    Failed to import “Pokemon Great Ball Grinder”: Invalid post type nova_menu_item
    Failed to import “Pokemon Ultra Ball Grinder”: Invalid post type nova_menu_item

    I also noticed that “Feedback” and “Testimonials” are missing as well. This is driving me crazy!

    Hey @godismyrock!

    It looks like you’re setting up Canape on a self hosted WordPress site, and not a WordPress.com site, which is what this particular forum is geared towards. If you have Canape questions on a self hosted site, you can use the forum over on WordPress.org :)

    To use the Food Menus on with Canape on a self hosted site, you’ll want to make sure you’ve activated the Jetpack plugin. That will activate the Food Menus and some other settings that require Jetpack.

    note to others reading this thread: If your site is hosted here at WordPress.com you do not need to perform this step – everything is already built in for you :)

    What you said about Jetpack solved the issue though! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You’re a life saver!

    Should I delete this thread since it’s on the wrong forum or just leave it?
