foofdude… instead of Foofah

  Hi, I recently moved from my live account to wordpress… Which I thought was a sad thing, because I really liked my Space, but oh well.

  Anyway, I wanted to sign up with foofah as my <name>.wordpress.com, because I have been using this name for all my life basically, and I’m 38 now so that’s a pretty long time really. However, it already has been taken. So I was like &%!/(“%, who took my name so I tried to check this page out: http://foofah.wordpress.com. Doesn’t exist – has been reserved. Ehhh, okay? For How long has it been reserved and when does this reservation cease to exist so I can have it instead? Foofdude just doesn’t do it for me…. :S

  Probably never. I’m guessing that it belongs to someone who is now using another username.

  They could also be using the account for the API key to make some software work with their WordPress.ORG blog install. The account has been active since February 19, 2009. So short of a time machine you are stuck.

  The only suggestion is to change or add a letter to the name you want, yes it sort of sucks from your view – “thenewfoofah” ??

  You could also register your own domain and map it to your site here, however “foofah.com” is parked on by a squatter but seems to be for sale.
