FOOTER

    So I know I can take out the “Blog at WordPress.com. The Port Theme.” because of the policy but I see these two dots that I have in bold after the words that I cant seem to edit….I was told that I can lower the opacity on that sentence but It does not seem to lower the opacity on the periods.

    The blog I need help with is protect-a-pak.com.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Current Terms of Service:

    May I remove the Admin Bar, credit links such as ‘Blog at WordPress.com’, theme, font, or toolbar links?

    All WordPress.com bloggers are required to maintain the Admin Bar (the dark bar that appears at the top of WordPress.com sites when logged in) as well as credit links, even our VIP bloggers. Please do not hide or alter text or links for the footer credits or the toolbar. Modifying the style of the footer text (i.e. colors and font size) is fine as long as it’s still readable.

    by the way your website is terrible….

    You could remove the existing line of CSS you have that sets the opacity and then use the following:

    #footer .left {opacity: 0.7;}

    but as auxclass pointed out you would fall foul of the may not be altered section of the TOS. This section of the TOS seems to be included to stop people from removing the attribution links (which I agree would be a mean-spirited thing to do), although unfortunately it is worded in a way that stops you doing anything with the footer, for example changing the font colour like so:

    #footer .left, #footer a {color:#999;}

    (which I, personally, would argue may be against the letter of the law but is not against the spirit of it). It would be interesting to know whether that means Sandbox theme users cannot style or position that footer section at all!

    I’m sure there’s been lots of debate about similar cases. Auxclass, have you noticed any of the support staff or forum mods weigh in on this?

    @auxclass, in the future, we would appreciate it if you can simply point to the relevant support page and keep a tone in line with The Forum Code of Conduct.

    @protectapak, sorry about this and many thanks for restoring the footer credits.
