    I don’t think that can be removed unless you upgrade to the business plan.

    Maybe there is a way, however, to change the footer black, so it is not as conspicuous. I will let someone who knows more than I do, help you, though.

    The only plan that can completely remove the footer on a WordPressdotcom site is the Business plan upgrade.

    For all other plans, you can choose one of the available choices in the Customizer.

    Sites on any plan other than Business are required to keep the footer credit intact. On those sites, you may choose from one of the alternative wordings or the WordPress icon.

    Modifying the style of the footer text with custom CSS — i.e. colors and font size — is allowed as long as the credit stays readable.

    Someone will answer and help you to customize the footer.

    As far as image size, are you sizing the images according to the size information at the bottom of the theme showcase page for Perennial? https://wordpress.com/theme/perennial

    Hi @jtphotoworks, I’m seeing only the WordPress W icon in your footer right now. I assume you have removed the Footer Custom Text at Customize > Theme Options > General Options.

    The content area on Perennial is set for a maximum width of 750px and that is in part due to the fact that with text-based content, if lines of text get too wide, then it affects readability. We can increase the width of the pages where you are posting your photos with CSS, if that is what you are wanting. Let me know.

    Great photos btw. I’d be smilin’ if I owned any of those vehicles.

    ok how do i change the color of the footer to black ? thanks for info and help

    so with my photos on the home page i have to re size to 750px

    i was told the size was 1440×900 to me that looks wrong

    Hi, if you look near the bottom on the Perennial theme showcase page in the Quick Specs section, featured images for the content carousel and custom header images should be 1440px wide. Custom Header images are recommended to be 1440 x 900. Featured images for posts and pages should be 600px square.

    The width for the post/page content (main column) area is 750px, but you can upload larger images. The theme and WordPress software create images in the size needed from your original images.

    This will make the white where the WordPress icon is black.

    .site-info-wrapper {
      background-color: #000 !important;
    }
    #colophon svg {
      fill: #fff !important;
    }

    On the light colored strip below the image on your main page, I’ve had to specifically target your home page so that it doesn’t turn the entire content area black on pages that do not have a background image, such as on your blog page.

    .home #content {
      background-color: #000;
    }

    ok thank you :) now how can i stop the photos from looking like there been stretched

  • Unknown's avatar

    oh the home page all so is there away to make the contact box transparent

    I’ve checked the image files, and they aren’t stretched out of proportion. If you are talking about the cropping, on themes that have full width/height images, the software has to adjust the image so that it covers the entire area, so there is going to be some cropping. We can stop that with the following CSS for the main page, but as you will see, you end up with a large bit of blank space below the image.

    .site-hero-wrapper .entry-image-site-hero {
      background-size: contain;
      background-repeat: no-repeat;
      background-position: center top;
    }

    oh i dont like the sound of that i want full-screen photos all so photos dont look in focus

  • Unknown's avatar

    what if i re size the photos would that work

    On the main page, what you would need to do is include more background around the car image and make the car effectively a smaller part of the image. That would help I think.
