Footer and Posts per page
-
Hi there,
I’ve done a few searches but can’t seem to find how to resolve my two issues … Firstly I want to remove the “Theme : Customized ….” black footer from the bottom of my site. I’ve only just noticed it
I also want to limit the number of posts that are on the front page to about 5 but can’t find any options for this in any of the menus. When I scroll down to the bottom of my main page it just continually loads previous posts I don’t want this.
Help ?! Thanks in advance !
Emma

First off, you cannot remove the footer credits. It is not allowed. Even the VIP sites here have to keep the footer credits and they pay thousands of dollars per month in fees.
You are using a theme that has the (forced on us) infinite scrolling. Fortunately you can work around that issue. Add a single blank text widget to one of the footer widget areas (if it has no title and no content it will not show). Then go to settings > reading and you can then set the number of posts per page that you desire.
See this post by timethief for more information: http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/03/16/disabling-infinite-scroll-on-your-wordpress-com-blog/ .

Thanks for the response !
I was fine with the footer credit it was more the horrible grey rectangle that was appearing across the screen that was annoying me – looked unsightly. Now that I’ve got infinite scrolling off though it appears to have returned to a nice clean footer at the bottom of the screen which is all I really wanted.
Thanks again !
