Footer, can not get ride “Blog at WordPress.com

In the footer, is “Blog at WordPress.com” part of the template (Assembler) we selected to use when creating out homepage? I’m unable to remove, or change what at first seemed to be a “credit” block in the footer. Regardless of what I’ve tried, when shown in preview the footer still includes “Blog at WordPress.com” If part of the template, then is my only solution to not having “Blog at WordPress.com” using another template for the home page?
