Footer credit still showing up, despite selecting "hide" option under customize

    Hello!
This only started today, to my knowledge. I have selected “hide” under Site Identity > Footer credit the customization options in the Rowling theme, but the footer credit still appears on my live website no matter what:

“WerandRa Proudly powered by WordPress Theme: Rowling”

If I change the display message under Site Identity > Footer credit such as “Default” or “Blog at WordPress.com”, the text seems to change, but when selecting “hide”, it still appears as default.

Is there any other way I can try to fix this? Could some other setting elsewhere be overriding it?

UPDATE: The issue seems to have fixed itself by refreshing (turning on and off) the toggle switch on “Enhance CSS customization panel”. Playing with settings gets me in trouble! :)

  • Thanks for posting that update.
