  How do i get rid of the footer, or what you call it at bottom left, which is my name.

  On that theme I’m afraid (and without the css upgrade) you can’t. It uses your blog title which right now of course you have as your name.

  Right now it does look redundant, but once you start posting, your visitors will find it useful as it brings them back to the top of the page.

  If you make blog posts they will appear on your home page automatically unless you have set it to display a static page only. Having nothing on your home page is probably a bad idea. As mentioned, if you want to remove the link you will need to pay for the CSS upgrade and know a little about CSS itself.
