Footer HTML widget padding
-
Hi all, not 100% sure this is the right forum, but Im trying to add padding to a privacy notice in the footer of this site. The reason is that on mobile the words basically touch the edges of the viewport. On desktop and tablet its not a problem.
For context, this is using the Astra theme and the privacy notice is in an HTML widget. I’ve tried to use both the margin controls for the widget itself and the margin and padding controls for the entire footer with no luck. I’ve also tried some CSS code that I found on this forum with no luck. The widget controls do not allow me to use a right margin, only top, bottom and left, which is strange. On the other hand, the entire footer controls do work in the preview, but the changes will not reflect on my site :/ I would appreciate any help thank you!

Hi there,
We are able to help with any theme that is offered as pre-installed at https://wordpress.com/themes/ but I’m afraid we do not have enough experience with 3rd party tools like Astra and Elementor to be able to help in this case.
In our experience though, it can be difficult to modify the appearance with CSS, so for issues of this nature I recommend going straight to the source. Since Astra has in-house support for their theme, they’re in the best place to help with this specific issue. https://wpastra.com/support/
Hope this helps point you in the right direction!

Thanks Jerry! I wasn’t aware of that. I wish I could just edit it with Elementor but the headers and footers are off limits with the free version. I’ll go ahead and contact Astra thank you!
